Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft and the Ministry of Culture and Media are once again inviting up-and-coming startups and founders from all over Europe to apply for the Music WorX funding programme with innovative music tech ideas. Application deadline is 20 June 2024.
Music WorX: application procedure and benefits
An expert jury will select the participating teams. This is made up of Lena Ingwersen (Managing Director at Music Cities Network, Keychange Innovator), Julian Krohn (Director Music & Audio at Scholz & Friends), Johannes Rösing (Music Department, Hamburg Ministry of Culture and Media) and Marec Lerche (Head of Business Development at Warner Music Central Europe), among others. This jury will invite the most promising teams to a digital prepitch. The decision will then be made as to which four teams will take part in the incubator from 26 August.
As part of the three-month programme, the participants will receive effective support in developing their business idea through to marketability. A funding amount of 5,000 euros and a monthly living allowance of 1,500 euros per team provide the financial development framework, while workshops, training and individual coaching strengthen entrepreneurial expertise. In addition, access to a mentor network provides valuable contacts and flexible coworking spaces provide an inspiring workspace. The music startups are given high-profile appearances at the Music WorX Pitch and at the conference part of the Reeperbahn Festival 2024.
