Digital technologies have become an integral part of music production and consumption. At this interface between music and tech, the Music WorX Incubator of Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft promotes business ideas with financial support, experienced mentors and coaches as well as individually tailored trainings and workshops. The application phase runs until June 19, 2023.
What Music WorX has to offer
Music WorX is an early-stage program, which means that participants already have an idea, perhaps have even developed a first prototype, but are not yet ready for the market. Over three months, Music WorX therefore focuses on product development. An integral part of the program is the so-called product field. This method helps to bring a product to the point and the perspectives of all participants into line, to find the focus, to tell the right story around an idea and to make the right decisions.
Each team receives up to 5,000 euros for support services to further develop the business idea. In addition, there is a 1,500 euro per month living allowance for the duration of the program. Ideally, at least two people per team should participate in the program. After the incubator, participants are free to start their project or transfer it back to their company. Music WorX is a publicly funded incubator that does not require company shares.
After the application deadline on June 19, 2023, an expert jury will select the most promising business ideas and invite the selected teams to a digital prepitch on July 4, 2023. Here it will be decided which four teams will participate in the incubator. Participating teams can expect to hear back from July 6, 2023. The program will take place partly remotely and partly in presence in Hamburg. A kick-off is planned for the program start in August on site in Hamburg. In the following weeks, there will be further workshops in Hamburg to strengthen the network in the incubator and to use synergies. However, teams from all over Europe can participate.
