1.3 million for fabel in pre-seed round
The Hamburg-based startup fabel has completed a pre-seed financing round of 1.3 million euros. It also received 400,000 euros in state funding. The company plans to use the money to expand its platform for family caregivers and develop strategic partnerships in the healthcare sector.
Fabel offers an app for organising care work
fabel was founded in 2022 by Alicia Faridi and Maximiliane Kugler, and a basic version of their offering appeared on the market at the end of 2023. The business idea is to provide digital assistance to relatives of people in need of care. Due to the shortage of skilled workers in the care sector, rising costs and the increasing ageing of society, private care is becoming more and more important. The fabel app can be used to organise everyday tasks such as shopping and distribute them across several shoulders. Professionals who provide more demanding medical services, for example, are also integrated via the platform.
“Our focus is on creating digital solutions that effectively support family caregivers in their everyday lives. This funding will allow us to further develop our platform and play a key role in the care sector in the long term,” comments Alicia Faridi on the pre-seed round that has just been completed. It is a result of a crowdinvesting campain on Companisto. The startup's core team currently consists of five people. The company's goals also include hiring additional full-time employees for IT and marketing.
