Caldero Systems GmbH, based in Hamburg, has been developing the open-source platform artwork since 2021, commissioned and funded by the German Federal Cultural Foundation in close collaboration with the cultural sector. artwork provides the digital backbone for theatres, museums, and event venues – from room and shift planning to budgeting, project management, inventory, and communication. Modular, extendable, and already in productive use, we currently manage 11 active pilot service contracts in Germany and Switzerland. Our goal is to achieve sustainable digital sovereignty for the cultural sector and establish a long-term SaaS structure. Pitch deck and financial plan available.
