Hopper Mobility receives 1.63 million in crowdinvesting campaign
Hopper Mobility has completed a crowdfunding financing round on the private investor network Companisto with around 1.63 million euros. With the HOPPER, the Hamburg-based startup is producing a covered e-bike that is supposed to combine the advantages of a bicycle and a car.
The HOPPER is a versatile vehicle
The cabin e-bike developed by Hopper Mobility is specially tailored to the needs of city dwellers. Its pedelec licence means that it can be used both on the road and on cycle paths or in parks. The target group includes private individuals as well as outpatient care services, food and medicine delivery services, tradespeople and large hotels and holiday resorts. A patented braking system, the solar roof for charging the battery and the ability to turn on the spot are some of the special features of the HOPPER.
The team around the founders of Hopper Mobility, Martin Halama, Philipp Herrmann and Torben Müller-Hansen, will receive capital through the crowdfunding which will be used for the further development of sales and the scaling of production of the cabin e-bike. In addition, the Hopper Mobility team was able to build up a network of almost 310 invested Companists, from whose knowledge and experience it would like to benefit in the future. Hopper Mobility GmbH was founded in Augsburg in 2021 has now eight employees and has been based in Hamburg since January 2024.
