With the aim of bringing AI startups and administration together and discussing possible applications of market solutions, the City of Hamburg and the Artificial Intelligence Center Hamburg e. V. (ARIC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
GovTech unites startups and administration
ARIC is the cross-thematic and cross-sector know-how center for artificial intelligence (AI) in the Hamburg metropolitan region. It simplifies and coordinates access to the future topic of AI and creates an overarching AI offering and network. By involving and connecting business, science and society, expertise from the different areas is brought together.
Among other things, the new agreement provides for closer cooperation in the areas of building market and expert knowledge and exchanging best practices. The focus is on applications from the field of government technology (GovTech for short). This includes in particular startups and innovative companies that provide digital products and services for the state and administration in the broader sense. In addition to the GovTecHH project, the cooperation is a further step toward positioning the Hamburg administration more strongly as a customer of startups.
