Erik Petruschke will be the new Managing Director of Digital Hub Logistics Hamburg. He will take over the position in September from Johannes Berg, who will still accompany the handover and then leave the company at his own request after more than five years to take on new professional challenges.
The new man has plenty of experience in logistics
Born in Dresden, Erik Petruschke looks back on more than 20 years in the Hamburg logistics and supply chain world. The logistics graduate spent the last few years in various roles at the trading company Gebr. Heinemann and was the driver for all innovation activities with startups and open innovation approaches with the Digital Hub. In his new role, Erik Petruschke will bring his logistics and supply chain expertise, leadership know-how, and innovation experience to work with startups and hubs.
In the Digital Hub Logistics Hamburg, established logistics companies work side by side with startups, investors and research institutions to drive the digital business transformation of the logistics industry in Hamburg and Germany. Digital Hub Logistics GmbH is a company managed by Logistik-Initiative Hamburg Service GmbH and the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg (Ministry of Economics and Innovation). It is also one of 16 hubs in the Digital Hub Initiative of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection. The partners include 26 companies, among them Shell, Volkswagen Konzernlogistik, Tchibo, HHLA Next, Otto Group and Lufthansa Industry Solutions. There are also collaborations with the Hamburg Port Authority (HPA), the Artificial Intelligence Center Hamburg (ARIC) and Hamburg's universities and colleges. The coworking space in the Speicherstadt has an area of more than 3,000 square meters, and the community includes more than 100 startups.
