Founders with a migration background are playing an increasingly important role in the startup world, especially in an international city like Hamburg. To prepare them for the German market, a Boost Camp will take place on 14 and 15 November 2025, for which applications can be submitted until 22 October.
The Boost Camp is a gateway to Hamburg's startup world
The event, held in English, is aimed at international founders – both individuals and teams – with an innovative, scalable startup idea in the fields of technology and science. In order to realise their high growth potential, they need support, expertise and access to Hamburg's diverse startup ecosystem. All of this is on the agenda at Boost Camp, which will address the following topics, among others:
Bureaucracy, visa procurement and banking
Basic knowledge of taxes and legal issues
Creation of a business model
Financing options
Pitch training and a final pitch
The Boost Camp begins on Friday, 14 November, at 2 p.m. A networking dinner will take place in the evening. On Saturday, 15 November, the programme will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The venue is CREATIVE LAB Hamburg, Große Elbstraße 68. The Boost Camp is a joint project of Startup City Hamburg and Startup Port, which also offer mentoring and helpful contacts beyond the event.
