SLUSH 2022 - a great success for Hamburg startups
The recently-ended SLUSH, Europe's largest startup event, was held in Helsinki from November 17 to 18 with 12,000 visitors including 4,200 startups and 2,200 investors.
Four Hamburg-based startups seized the opportunity to present their companies to an international audience and network with investors. Boomerang, Etvas, receeve and Spacific GmbH were on board. Backed by Hamburg Invest’s Startup Unit, a joint stand was hosted with Berlin Partner, Köln Business and Munich Startup at “the world's largest gathering of venture capital events”.

The visit to the conference was also a complete success for the Startup Unit team. "Many exciting contacts were made with startups, corporates and investors who are interested in Hamburg as a location," said Veronika Reichboth, Head of the Startup Unit. Helsinki really is becoming a hotsport of start-ups and holds huge potential. Thus, the Startup Unit will head to Helsinki in early 2023 with another delegation of Hamburg-based startups.
