Calls for Transfer funding programme celebrates its anniversary
For the tenth time, the Calls for Transfer (C4T) programme is giving scientists from Hamburg the opportunity to turn innovative research ideas into reality outside the university. Up to 30,000 euros are available per project. The application phase runs from 15 April to 31 May 2024.
The key data for Calls for Transfer
With 134 projects already funded by C4T since 2018, the programme can look back on a broad spectrum of realised innovation projects: from a board game that conveys historical knowledge and social contexts in a playful way, to a podcast that offers psychological first aid for women refugees, to the use of VR technology in the logistics industry as a solution to the shortage of skilled workers.
Please note the following points when applying:
Submission phase: 15 April to 31 May. 2024.
Funding amount for individual projects: up to 30,000 euros.
Earliest project start date for approved C4T projects: 01 September 2024.
Maximum duration of the projects: One year, i.e. until 31 August 2025.
Transfer-relevant, innovative concepts from all scientific disciplines at Hamburg's state universities are eligible for funding.
Not only applications from the applied and technical sciences are considered transfer-relevant, but also explicitly research projects from the social sciences and humanities as well as artistic disciplines.
What is important is the outstanding innovative strength of the proposal and the recognisable possibility of socially relevant realisation or commercial exploitation.
The most promising project proposals are selected for C4T funding by an external panel of experts based on their potential and quality.
A digital consultation hour on Calls for Transfer will take place on 25 April from 11 am to 12 noon. The entire programme is funded by the Ministry of Science, Research, Equalities and Districts (BWFGB) of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg and is sponsored by the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH).
