The Hamburg-based startup Secjur, provider of a digital compliance platform, has received undisclosed funding from Look AI Ventures from Prague. The venture capitalist is the first Czech company to specialise in supporting early-stage AI startups.
Secjur already has well-known customers and investors
Secjur was founded in 2018 by Niklas Hanitsch and focuses on the automation of compliance processes for medium-sized companies in areas such as data protection, information security, whistleblowing, anti-money laundering and supply chain management. The funding will be used to further develop Secjur's Digital Compliance Office, which combines AI automation with expert knowledge to make compliance management more efficient and cost-effective. Secjur's customers include well-known companies such as Samsung, Mercedes Benz, Yunex Traffic, Tomorrow Banking and 1KOMMA5°.
By the end of 2022, Secjur had already raised 5.5 million euros. The round was led by the Visionaries Club from Berlin. Cocoa Ventures, SB21 and a number of prominent business angels were also involved, including Mario Götze, 2014 football world champion, and former Formula 1 champion Nico Rosberg.
