The Hamburg-based startup Zive has completed a pre-seed financing round totalling 2.9 million euros. It has developed a platform supported by artificial intelligence (AI) that makes corporate knowledge easily accessible. The money comes from the VC Headline and founders Jan Marquardt and Piers Wermbter.
Zive is the latest success of experienced founders
Zive is a knowledge platform that gives employees access to all the information provided by their company. It automatically organises all company knowledge and combines it with the latest AI technology to establish secure and reliable AI. Founded in November 2023 by Jan Marquardt and Piers Wermbter, Zive launched a working product in April 2024 and has generated over 100,000 euros in annual recurring revenue within three months. The two founders bring many years of joint experience from the business software company Haiilo, which Marquart founded under the name COYO and where Wermbter worked as an IT expert.
One of Zive's promises is that its AI will not produce the hallucinations that are more common in LLM applications (large language models for text generation). This refers to texts that are formulated correctly but still contain incorrect information. Another advantage is the minimisation of the business apps required in offices.
