Lead and grow our scientist team of 6 people with expertise in fermentation and upcycling of industrial sidestreams
Coordinate and drive assigned projects, including KPIs and milestones and ensure that deadlines are met
Responsible for the the fermentation and extraction process and for designing experiments to improve growth and product nutritional profile
Make recommendations with regards to project requirements
Responsible for the motivation and further development of your team members
Report to our Chief Science Officer (CSO) and discuss R&D results with the team
Support the CSO in building up academic and industrial partnerships
PhD or master’s degree in biochemical engineering, process engineering or biotechnology with relevant experience in the food industry
5+ years leading a highly educated R&D science team in an industrial setting
Founded experience in project management (e.g. stage-gate process or equivalent), fermentation technology, thermal process, biocatalysis and general lab work
Proven ability in interpreting scientific data to bring value to the business
Innate interest for understanding and solving complex problems
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment
Interest in working in an international environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Excellent written and verbal skills in English, ideally good command of German
