Who I am
I am Furat Shaker, a biomedical engineering professional with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering and extensive training in quality management, marketing, artificial intelligence, and product design in healthcare. Through a license from TÜV Rheinland Akademie, I have deepened my knowledge in medical device regulation. Additionally, I am an authorized translator and certified interpreter for Arabic, Kurdish, and German, which allows me to work effectively in healthcare as well as with authorities and courts. From 2015 to 2020, I co-founded and managed a company in the field of medical tourism. I am currently studying MBA in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management to build my own startup in medical technology and medical tourism.
The Project / What I have achieved
The central problem for international patients in medical tourism is the difficult access to qualified doctors, often mediated by time-consuming and resource-intensive intermediaries. This leads to insecure document transfers, language barriers, and delays in initial consultations and follow-up care.
I am working on developing a digital health startup that addresses regulatory hurdles, interoperability, data privacy, and technological innovation. Planned is an AI-based platform to optimize doctor search, improve communication, and securely transmit medical documents. The further course of the project is still open.
The goal is to apply for an EXIST startup grant, which requires, among other things, co-founders and a mature concept.
Your profile
I am looking for two co-founders for our digital health startup:
Completed studies or training in computer science or similar fields.
Practical experience in software development or web applications.
Solid knowledge in at least one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, etc.
Knowledge of database management and SQL.
Experience in implementing and integrating AI tools and models (desirable but not mandatory).
Experience in UI/UX design (advantageous but not mandatory).
Team-oriented, good collaboration skills, and flexibility.
Analytical thinking and a sense of responsibility.
Motivation and quick learning ability.
