Nect is a multi-award-winning IT startup from Hamburg and develops fully automated trust services based on AI. Nect counters the weaknesses of traditional remote identification with identification solutions that enable users to identify themselves in a legally compliant manner at any time and from any location.
About the founders of Nect
Nect was founded in 2017 by Benny Bennet Jürgens and Carlo Ulbrich. CEO Benny started his career as a trained computer scientist in the insurance industry. Before founding the company, he was responsible for the app development of a global insurance company. CSO Carlo has ten years of experience in B2B sales, sales controlling and project management. Most recently, he was the sales manager of a global project logistics company.
Milestones and plans
Nect technology was used for the first time at R+V Versicherung in 2018. Other well-known companies, including Telekom and around 80% of the statutory health insurance funds, followed. Investors include DvH Ventures and ALSTIN Capital. In 2021, Nect expanded into other European countries. In addition to enhancing its functions and products, Nect is pursuing the goal of creating a universal ID wallet.
