Startup Coach / Startup Consultant (m/f/d)

For almost two decades, HAMBURG INNOVATION GMBH (HI) has stood for successful knowledge and technology transfer in the Hamburg metropolitan region. To strengthen our project team "beyourpilot" we are looking for the following person as soon as possible

Startup Coach / Startup Consultant (m/f/d)

Part-time (50%) for the implementation of the tasks at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW Hamburg)

About beyourpilot: Hamburg's largest universities and DESY have joined forces to provide even better and more effective support for scientists setting up their own businesses through the beyourpilot platform. Those interested in setting up a company in the university sector will find a central access point to the startup support units of all participating institutions.

These are your tasks:

Provide strategic and financial support to interested parties and founders in the startup process at HAW Hamburg. This includes

• Advising and coaching knowledge-based startups in the early growth phase

• Linking and integration into the measures and processes of the Startup Service in the Centre for Career Planning (ZfK) at HAW Hamburg for the support of startups.

• Development of business models including business and financial plans as well as idea sketches

• Support in the acquisition of project and startup funding

• Networking in the metropolitan region

• Conception and implementation of workshops and seminars for the qualification of founders

• Organisation of regular information events on the services offered by the beyourpilot network

• Administrative support for spin-off and transfer processes

• Further development of the consulting process and services

What you bring to the table:

• A university degree or equivalent.

• Good knowledge of business model development methods, technology transfer funding programmes and the startup process

• Work experience in startup consulting or technology transfer or in your own startup company

• Enthusiasm for entrepreneurial issues and an entrepreneurial mindset in the context of science and research

• Experience in designing and implementing workshop and networking formats, ideally in the field of entrepreneurship

• Strong communication skills, a confident and open manner and the ability to work in a team

• Good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
