toern is a growing AI startup based in Hamburg that is rethinking the returns process in e-commerce. With an automated all-in-one solution, toern helps online shops manage returns efficiently, generate valuable insights from returns data, and increase customer satisfaction and margins. Our focus is on scalable growth, data-driven decision-making, and strong customer relationships.
To support this, we are looking for a Working Student in Growth & Business Development who is eager to get hands-on and make a real impact.
As a Working Student, you will work directly with Alena, the founder, and be closely involved in both strategic and operational decisions:
Hands-on support in Growth & Business Development
Operational support in day-to-day business activities
Outreach to potential customers (email, LinkedIn, etc.)
Preparation and follow-up of trade fairs & events
Support with demo calls (preparation, participation, follow-ups)
Maintaining and improving CRM and sales processes
Market and competitive analyses
Enrolled student (e.g. Business Administration, Economics, Entrepreneurship, or similar)
Strong hands-on mindset and interest in startups, growth, sales, or business development
Structured and reliable working style
Very good German and good English skills
Initial experience through internships, preferably in a startup environment
Confident use of common tools is a plus (HubSpot, Notion, Google Workspace)
Direct collaboration with the founder – no layers, real responsibility
Deep insights into building a startup from the inside
Steep learning curve in growth, sales, and business development
High level of ownership and creative freedom
