Research – Systems Medicine/Systems Biology (Full-time) for work in an interdisciplinary team
We work with physiological, pathological, and biological data from experimental and clinical studies. Our research sits at the interface between clinical and basic science and applies knowledge of circadian rhythms to preserve health and optimize treatment in disease. We are particularly interested in the molecular mechanisms that link the circadian clock to changes in cellular processes in the context of cancer.
Your responsibilities:
Contribute to research projects investigating the interplay between the biological clock and human health, especially in the course of diseases.
Contribute to the preparation of grant proposals and manuscripts.
Your profile:
You hold a university degree (M.Sc./Diploma/Magister) in (bio)physics, (bio)mathematics, (bio)informatics, or a comparable field. Ideally, you have a relevant PhD and have demonstrated your ability to publish through first-author articles in renowned peer-reviewed journals.
You have international work experience and have demonstrated your communication and presentation skills through scientific talks and posters at international conferences.
You have a strong interest in questions related to the biological clock and its interaction with human health.
You have proven, in-depth experience in machine learning.
You possess excellent skills in modeling and programming and are proficient in at least one programming language suitable for data analysis, such as R, MATLAB, or Python.
You are highly competent in statistics (statistical tests, information criteria) and bioinformatics (big data, analysis of genetic data).
You have exceptional analytical abilities and enjoy independently implementing creative solutions.
You are highly committed and adaptable, can plan and act in a results-oriented manner, and are capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent English and German skills (spoken and written) and very strong writing abilities are also required.
We offer:
A permanent full-time position.
A challenging role with corresponding responsibility, scope to shape your work, and opportunities for personal development.
Your application:
Please send your informative application — including a one-page motivation letter tailored to this position, a four-page CV with publication list, and two references — in digital form to angela.relogio@time-teller.eu.
