Frontend Developer (m/w/d)

About Us

We are a startup specializing in lab automation robots, and we're looking for a Frontend Developer to join our team. Our mission is to simplify lab workflows through innovative software that powers both our cloud application and the robots' user interfaces.

By using a unified web stack for both the cloud and robot interfaces, we ensure compatibility across a wide range of client devices while minimizing complexity.

Our software empowers users to:

• Access and utilize lab protocols from our extensive library.

• Create custom protocols tailored to their experiments.

• Manage experiments efficiently and interact seamlessly with the robot.

Our Tech Stack

We work with modern technologies, including:

• Application: Next.js, React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, MQTT and WebSockets for real-time communication, Docker

• Machine Interface: Python, MQTT, CAN-Bus

What You’ll Be Doing

As our Frontend Developer, you will primarily focus on the development of our user interface. This includes:

• Collaborating with our cell biology specialists on-site to iterate quickly on our MVP based on feedback.

• Implementing real-time control and monitoring features for our robots.

• Work on features on-site to ensure flawless integration with the hardware.

• Consider security implications and a safe operation of the robot.

• Ensuring data integrity and seamless data provisioning.

• Developing user-friendly software for regulated industries.

While your primary focus is frontend development, we value versatility. You'll have opportunities to contribute across the tech stack, and an interest in single-board computers, embedded systems, and Python is a plus.
