Hamburg offers the perfect basis for innovation: As Germany’s second-largest city, Hamburg is developing into a hotspot for future technologies.
More than 20 universities, 130,000 students and 12,000 researchers create an environment in which innovative ideas become exciting products and solutions that actively tackle the challenges of today and tomorrow. In particular, knowledge-based startups in emerging industries such as medical technology, new materials or renewable energies have a high social relevance – an aspect that is also anchored in the City of Hamburg’s Regional Innovation Strategy (RIS).
