We are developing a sustainable payment app that allows users to support climate protection projects free of charge with every payment (whether in the supermarket, café, kiosk or online). You could say we want to become the Ecosia of payments. By not relying on US payment systems in the background, we can also offer businesses an attractive payment method.
Our vision: Payment is at the heart of society. It connects all people with all businesses. If we manage to establish a sustainable company at this central point in our society and use this position to make sustainable services (for users and businesses) more accessible, for example, it could become one of the strongest drivers of sustainability in Europe.
We are currently looking for another technical co-founder (ideally with mobile app development experience). As we will be using external payment infrastructure at the beginning, no previous experience in the financial sector is necessary. It is particularly important that sustainability is close to your heart.
Status quo: Received first little grant; found payment provider that allows us to start and scale easily + existing integration with large retail chains; discussions with 40+ shops; first 500 users on the waiting list.
