hei. Hamburger ExistenzgründungsInitiative is the first port of call for anyone wishing to start out on their own in Hamburg and offers cross-industry advice. As a publicly funded initiative, it is supported by the City of Hamburg and the BG Bürgschaftsgemeinschaft Hamburg. The initiative has been offering free initial personal consultation since 1995. It also offers the seminar programme called „Self-employment can be learned“, publicly funded by the City of Hamburg. In addition, hei. organizes various events and offers information on anything regarding setting-up your own business. Among others, these include a monthly breakfast for founders, digital live-chats with experts, regular business model workshops as well as the „Hamburger Gründertag“ (Founders day) once a year. hei. is the hub where all of Hamburg’s most important start-up initiatives come together. It provides contact persons from the „Hamburger Gründungsnetzwerk“ (Hamburg network for founders) and informs online on the blog, in the newsletter, in the podcast „Gründung in Sicht“ as well as on social media.
