The InsurTech Werft is a think & work tank for digital insurance solutions. The initiative is aimed at insurers, large Brokers, InsurTechs and consulting firms. The focus is on getting to know exciting startups and their use cases, which can be used to improve the core processes of insurers and brokers and further develop the insurance business model. The initiative was founded in 2018 by the HSBA Hamburg School of Business Administration, Alsterspree and the HanseMerkur Insurance Group. ITW Institut für Transformation und Weiterbildung in der Assekuranz GmbH is responsible for the implementation and organization of InsurTech-Werft.
Over 130 startups and technology companies (as of 2024) have presented their solutions at the InsurTech Werft in the last 6 years.
