Startups: apply now for the Health & Life Science Venture Day 2026

On 2 June, Life Science Nord will once again be hosting the Health & Life Science Venture Day. The networking event will centre on a pitch competition for startups in the fields of biotech, medtech, pharma and digital health, which can apply by 30 April.

Strong role models from previous years

In recent years, Hamburg has developed into a leading hub for medical startups. Good examples of this are TimeTeller, which uses personal biorhythms to determine the best time for a therapeutic intervention, and Aortex, with an improved vascular stent for the treatment of arterial dilation. Both companies won the pitch at the Health & Life Science Venture Day in 2024 and 2025. Now startups are wanted that can follow in their footsteps. They will have the opportunity to do so on 2 June at View Eleven, an event venue right on the banks of the Elbe, where they will meet key decision-makers from the investment and life sciences sectors.

The competition is open to all early- to growth-stage startups developing products in the life sciences sector and having a scalable business model. To apply, they must submit a compelling pitch deck. After reviewing all entries, a panel of experts will shortlist the most promising startups, who will receive pitch training ahead of the final. The winning team will then be determined by a combination of the jury’s decision and a public vote. The language to be used for the pitch is English.
