Developing a viable business model from a startup idea within 48 hours – that is the concept behind Impossible Founders’ iF Sprint. Following its successful launch in December 2025, the second round is set to take place from 3 to 5 July at Start-Up Labs Hamburg, and you can apply now.
How the iF Sprint works
The first edition of iF Sprint attracted more than 70 participants. The winner was the Fiber Guard team, which is developing a technology for continuous inspection to detect damage in bridges at an early stage and is well on its way to becoming a successful startup. Anyone with an innovative idea that could form the basis for founding a startup can now follow in their footsteps. On the first day of the event, they can present their concept to recruit members for their team. This means that people who do not have their own idea but would like to contribute their expertise to a promising project are also welcome to take part.
On the second day, the focus is on developing the idea and translating it into a realistic business model. Support is provided by experienced mentors, whilst workshops offer an introduction to topics such as product development and assessing market potential. On the finishing day, the final touches are made, culminating in a pitch to a jury of founders and investors. After the awards ceremony, there’s still time to celebrate, and the winning team can continue to benefit from the Impossible Founders network long after the event has ended.
