GITEX AI EUROPE 2026, one of the most important international technology trade fairs, will take place in Berlin on 30 June and 1 July. This year, Startup City Hamburg is supporting five startups with their participation and offering them the chance to make valuable contacts. The application period runs until 17 May.
What GITEX AI EUROPE has to offer
GITEX GLOBAL is regarded as one of the world’s largest technology events and has its origins in Dubai. Since 2025, its spin-off, GITEX AI EUROPE, has been held in Berlin. The inaugural event attracted over 20,000 attendees, including around 600 investors and 500 speakers, as well as more than 1,400 exhibitors. In addition to an extensive exhibition area, the fair features several stages hosting pitches, keynotes and panel discussions. Startups wishing to travel to Berlin with Startup City Hamburg must have their office in Hamburg according to the commercial register, must be no more than ten years old, demonstrate a clear product-market fit, and have a justified business interest in GITEX AI EUROPE.
Once the application deadline of 17 May has passed, a panel of experts will assess all entries based on the criteria of maturity, scalability of the business model, and international market potential. The five selected startups will be notified by 19 May. They will receive the following benefits for their trip to GITEX AI EUROPE:
A conference ticket for one person per startup
Cooperation contribution of 500 euros
Participation in the joint Startup-Champs Germany stand
Allocation of either a 10-minute stage slot or a 2-day startup pod – the decision will be made by lottery
Media coverage of the participating startups via the communication and social media channels of Startup City Hamburg and Startup-Champs Germany
Integration into the networks of Startup City Hamburg and Startup-Champs Germany
Support with matchmaking before and during the event, as well as access to the GITEX concierge service
Access to the Startup Champs networking event, including matchmaking
Inclusion in the Startup-Champs Community
Travel and accommodation must be booked and organised independently by the participating startups.
