Hamburg Innovation Summit 2022 to focus on new materials

Tickets now on sale for innovators' meeting in June

The Hamburg Innovation Summit (HHIS) will bring together stakeholders in Hamburg's innovation scene on June 2, 2022 for a face-to-face event after the pandemic had forced previous editions to go digital. Around 1,300 delegates are expected in the "Altonaer Fischauktionshalle" for the summit under the theme of "New Materials for the City of Tomorrow". Tickets go on sale on January 13, 2022.

Wide ranging offers planned

This year's summit will feature a conference, digital workshops and an exhibition. Discussions with guests from politics, business and research are planned, as well as the presentation of concrete use cases and recommendations for action. Delegates will have plenty of opportunities to network and experiment during the exhibition. The Hamburg Innovation Awards will also be presented in the categories Idea, Start-up and Growth.

Emphasis on new materials

HHIS is thematically highlighting one of the five fields of the Hamburg Innovation Strategy (RIS). Delegates can gain insight into the production and use of new materials. Diverse start-ups and companies that exemplify the sustainable use of raw materials in Hamburg and are considered best practices in energy technology and sustainable construction will be presented during the summit.

Research, business, politics and society

Organised by the Ministry of Economics and Innovation (BWI), the Hamburgische Investitions- und Förderbank (IFB Hamburg) and Hamburg Innovation GmbH, the annual HHIS sees itself as a bridge builder between research, business, politics and society.
