In November 2025, a goodBytz cooking robot began operating at a US military base in South Korea; now the startup’s autonomous kitchen system is being deployed in the United States itself for the first time. And this is just the start of a major contract with the US Army.

goodBytz will soon be catering for one of the largest US military bases
goodBytz develops autonomous, modular kitchen systems for professional catering and communal food services. The company combines robotics, software and culinary expertise with the aim of making fresh food available efficiently, reliably and on a scalable basis. At the end of summer 2026, goodBytz will make its debut on the American market at Fort Hood, one of the largest US military bases. Around 41,000 soldiers are stationed there. Together with their families, around 70,000 people live on the base. Fort Hood is therefore one of the largest employers in the state of Texas.
This first installation marks the start of a larger-scale roll-out. As part of the contract, 20 further autonomous kitchen robots have already been firmly ordered, which are set to be deployed at other military sites in the future. In addition, the agreement includes a three-figure number of pre-ordered options for further systems.
