For several years now, ‘Meet&Match’ has been one of the most popular event formats of the Startup Port. Founders can meet co-founders and other team members for their startup face-to-face. A recently launched platform is now bringing this concept into the digital sphere.

Meet&Match works like a dating platform for startup founders
“Co-Founder Meet&Match Platform 2.0” is the full name of the free service, which has been available in an open beta version since the start of August. It is aimed at two target groups: firstly, founders looking for new team members, and specifically for co-founders. And secondly, people who do not necessarily have their own founding idea but would like to contribute their skills to an existing startup project. Both groups have the opportunity to create a profile on the platform, in which they can describe their competences, industry background, experience and expectations.
Using this information, participants can identify which profile matches their preferences and requirements, and which person could be a valuable addition to the team. If there is mutual interest, a ‘match’ is made. The peers can then get in touch directly and get to know one another in person. Confidentiality is a key aspect of the platform. The profiles are not publicly accessible and should therefore not be shared publicly. This service complements the existing live formats and makes it even easier to connect with others interested in starting a business within a community of like-minded people.
