For impact startups, sales are often the biggest challenge. This is precisely where the Impact Competence Hub support programme, run by Impact Hub Hamburg and 105 VIERTEL, comes in – now in its third year. B2B startups dedicated to social or environmental issues can apply until 4 June.
What the Impact Competence Hub offers
Starting with the kick-off on 29 June, the five-month programme is aimed at impact startups that already have a market-ready product or a pilot project. The programme covers optimising target audience engagement and the sales process. Participants will receive workshops, individual coaching and mentoring, and the opportunity to conduct real sales pitches with test customers, which are highly likely to result in a deal. Participation is free of charge but will be offset against the de minimis budget –the maximum state funding amount – in the range of 5,000 to 10,000 euros. Background: The Impact Competence Hub is supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
Once the deadline on 4 June has passed, applicants will receive a response by 9 June. Seven startups took part in the first cohort, and nine in the second. Programme events usually take place on Mondays, either from 2 pm to 4 pm or from 4 pm to 6 pm. Attendance in person at Impact Hub Hamburg is generally mandatory, but online participation is possible in exceptional cases.
