The StartAperitivo event format from the Hamburg Investors Network (HIN) is all about connecting startups with investors and an exciting pitch in front of a large audience. On 23 April, it will be time again for DeepTech. Interested startups can apply until 26 February.

HIN, part of IFB Innovationsstarter GmbH, is organising the latest edition of StartAperitivo together with the Deep Tech Club and High-Tech Gründerfonds. They are looking for startups with DeepTech relevance that meet the following criteria:

  • Development of a product in the fields of artificial intelligence/machine learning, robotics, biotech, new materials, quantum technology, defence tech, aerospace, sensor technology and energy.

  • The product is at a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of 4 or higher, meaning it has been proven to be functional in at least one laboratory test setup.

  • The startup is in the pre-seed to Series A phase and is planning a financing round that should be completed by November 2026 at the latest.

  • The core team consists of at least two people, at least one of whom has a technical background.

  • The startup is based in Hamburg or the surrounding area.

To participate, at a minimum one of the following conditions must be met as well:

  • A patent application has been filed or is in preparation.

  • There is an MVP, meaning a product that fulfils the basic functions.

  • There are one or more pilot customers.

The six most promising applications that are received by 26 February and meet these criteria and will be selected. The startups will then pitch their ideas to an InvestorsOnly audience at betahaus Gänsemarkt on 23 April.
