The Gunnar-Uldall-Wirtschaftspreis will be presented for the eighth time this year. The top three startups will receive prize money totalling 15,000 euros. Applications will be accepted until 30 September.

Application phase for the Gunnar-Uldall-Wirtschaftspreis has begun

The conditions of participation
Any company from the Hamburg metropolitan region with an outstanding startup idea is eligible to apply, provided it meets the following criteria:
entrepreneurial activity in line with the principles of the social market economy
a sustainable and viable business idea
a strong personality demonstrating courage, vision and decisiveness
interpersonal skills in business management
The application, which must not exceed two pages, should outline the viability of the business model and explain why the startup deserves the prize. Historical turnover figures and projected figures are requested as an appendix. A short application video may be submitted but is not a requirement for entry. The best applicants will be invited to give a 20-minute presentation at a meeting of a board of trustees.
The board of trustees, whose members have had close personal, professional or political ties with the former Senator for Economic Affairs, Gunnar Uldall, over many years, will then select the three prize-winners. First place is awarded 10,000 euros, second place 3,000 euros and third place 2,000 euros. Previous main prize winners are Appinio (2019), NÜWIEL (2020), plancraft (2021), dpv-analytics (2022), hinterland (2023), amsight (2024) and CLOUDSUPPLIES (2025).
