AiDiA Pitch is once again looking for the best Afro-German entrepreneurs
AiDiA Pitch, the startup competition for Afro-German founders, is entering its fourth round. This year, the final will take place on 5 September as part of a two-day event. The application deadline is 19 April.
Attractive prizes at AiDiA Pitch
All startups across all sectors with at least one Afro-German founder on the team are eligible to take part. There are two categories: for the idea pitch, a promising business idea is sufficient. Here, there is a chance to win prize money of 2,000 euros. In the founder pitch, there is 30,000 euros to be won. The prerequisite for participation here is an already established startup. Participants and winners can also look forward to non-cash prizes worth over 150,000 euros; they will receive workshops for their further development and access to a network of experts and investors.
Evaluation criteria and process
The following criteria will be used to evaluate the applications:
Innovation
Commercial viability
Entrepreneurial character
Creativity & stage presence
The most promising teams will first be invited to a pre-pitch in May. A panel of experts will select some of the finalists. In addition, one further startup per category can secure a ‘Golden Ticket’ via a social media campaign. A 12-week preparation programme will then begin on 11 June, including mandatory workshops on 15 and 16 August. The AiDiA Business & Culture Fest 2026 will then take place on 4 and 5 September, culminating in the pitch final. Tickets for this two-day event, which is being held in this format for the first time, are available here.
