3 Hamburg-based startups offering solutions for industrial production

LIQTRA
LIQTRA offers custom-made hardware and software solutions for the commercial use of 3D printing in industry. The company has developed a technology for granulate printing that is more material-efficient and flexible than conventional methods and enables the use of recycled granulate. This was achieved as part of the “ÖkoMEx” project, which received 292,000 euros in funding from IFB Hamburg through its PROFI Umwelt Transfer programme. LIQTRA is initially targeting the automotive industry as the application area for the new technology.

Infinici
Infinici is a startup in the circular economy sector that focusses on glass and carbon fibre products made from recycled materials. The company offers cost-effective alternatives to conventional fibres, thereby enabling the manufacture of high-quality composite parts with a lower carbon footprint. A milestone in Infinici’s history was the partnership announced in early 2025 with Biesterfeld, one of the leading international distributors of products and solutions in the speciality chemicals, pharmaceutical and food industries.

Made in Hamburg at the pace of the Chinese metropolis Shenzhen – that is the promise of Eilbek Research. The startup specialises in initial production runs and market launches in the hardware sector, with up to 10,000 units possible. It originally began as an engineering consultancy and now applies its expertise to a wide range of applications, from industrial automation, high-speed imaging and motion control to neuroscience and IT operations. Eilbek Research guides its clients step by step through the industrialisation process, right up to large-scale production, within two weeks.
