Online consultation on the founding grant "Gründungszuschuss"

The Employment Agency’s founding grant "Gründungszuschuss" is the most popular form of funding for entrepreneurs in Germany – it is awarded over 20,000 times every year. Startup adviser Frederic Breiler explains during the consultation session how the founding grant works and how to apply for it.

The "Gründungszuschuss" is financial startup support for people setting up a business whilst on unemployment benefit, covering the first six months of your self-employment and possibly a further nine months. It is suitable for any sector and any business idea. The prerequisite is that you are receiving or have been approved for Unemployment Benefit 1, with 150 days’ remaining entitlement as of the founding date.
