Legacy SaaS in times of vibe coding

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang said back in 2017, ‘Software is eating the world, but AI is going to eat software.’ Since the beginning of this year at the latest, this thesis has also found increasing resonance among capital investors. But how can SaaS startups succeed in this field of tension? What is the answer to the question: Would I launch my product again today in a world that already thinks and acts AI-native?

Together with Alexander Noll from plancraft, you will look at the reality of a SaaS startup launched in 2020 that had to reinvent itself: from a system of record to a system of action – with AI not as a feature, but as a structural product and organisational principle. Alexander openly shares which decisions were truly challenging.

In the subsequent panel discussion, Alexander and Jannis Grube (PwC), together with Sarah Röhm from T.Capital, discuss what the transition means in concrete terms: What is genuine product transformation and what is merely AI reframing? Where will defensibility arise in the future when AI features can be copied in a matter of weeks? And which SaaS categories will simply no longer exist in a few years' time?
