Product Owner (m/f/d)

Conlivo is a PropTech company based in Hamburg.

We run a cloud-native platform for energy and consumption billing in the real estate sector. Our software digitises the technical and regulatory processes around heating, metering and consumption billing, automating large parts of the billing workflow in the process.

To keep building out our product, we're looking to bring on a Product Owner (m/f/d) as soon as possible.

Who we're looking for

The Product Owner role calls for both a solid grasp of building and heating technology and a confident command of software development.

We know that's an unusual combination, and that almost no one walks in with both worlds fully covered from day one. So we welcome applications from either side:

• Coming from software: You know your way around software development and have already worked in a Product Owner capacity. You hold a degree in computer science, business informatics or a related field, and you're keen to dig deep into the technical domain of building and heating technology.

• Coming from engineering: You have a degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable discipline (ideally with some connection to heating, building services or HVAC), and you want to grow into product ownership.

What matters is your willingness to grow into the other world. We'll support you in getting there, of course.

What you'll do

• You'll own the product backlog and translate technical and regulatory requirements from building and heating technology into clear, actionable tickets.

• You'll prioritise features by customer and business value, maintain the backlog and safeguard requirement quality (user stories, acceptance criteria, definition of done).

• As the link between customers, stakeholders and the development team, you'll steer the agile process, plan releases and keep evolving the product roadmap.

Your profile

• You hold a completed degree, with a focus in either IT or engineering, along with a good technical understanding of software development. Software shouldn't be foreign territory for you.

• You have the interest and the ability to pick up either the subject knowledge in building and heating technology or the methodology of product owner work.

• Experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, familiarity with agile methods (Scrum/Kanban) and a background in the energy or real estate sector are all a plus, but not a requirement.

• You bring very good German (C1 or above), along with strong communication and facilitation skills.
