Product Designer/ Design Engineer (Co-Founder, Equal Equity, 20–30h/ week)

I am the Co-Founder & CEO of SquireUp, an early-stage B2B Retailtech startup. We help retailers run competitive, economically viable online businesses by automating operational, compliance, and finance tasks they often lack the expertise or capacity to manage themselves.

We already have clear architecture, processes and pilot customers. What we are missing is a design focused co-founder with exceptional product taste and some basic technical abilities. We need someone who can turn customer insights, discovery work and sales feedback into demos, prototypes and early product experiences that look sharp, feel intuitive and create trust from the first interaction.

You will join as a Co-Founder and Design Engineer.

Your role is to sit at the intersection of UX/UI design and fast prototyping. Your job is to make the product tangible fast, but also make it feel right. In our stage, that matters more than deep backend excellence. We already have strong technical talent for complex implementation. What we need now is someone with judgment, craft and speed.

You should have exceptional taste in product and visual design, a strong feel for modern B2B software, and the ability to create polished, interactive prototypes yourself. You know how to make complex workflows feel simple, credible and elegant. You care deeply about aesthetics, usability and learning speed, and you are comfortable iterating quickly based on real user reactions.

We are looking for 20–30 hours per week for now, with the clear intention to go full-time once we reach enough revenue or funding milestones. Nobody is getting a salary yet. Your compensation is an equal share of the equity. In return, you get a real co-founder seat, meaningful ownership, existing pilot customers, and the chance to shape the product experience from the ground up.
