The Product: A data learning platform in which users can exercise their data skills on real datasets. Rather than a one-off tutorial, we offer repeated examples of handling missing values or walk students through time series models so that they can experience the right forecasting model. We don't teach. We build brain muscle.
My background: As an empirical economist and experienced educator, I know data and have a good grasp of didactics. I also bring passion and excitement, which investors and students both find contagious.
Who I'm looking for: I would love to find someone with either a technical or business skills, so that I can give more attention to the product. On the tech side, I'm looking for someone with a full-stack background, ideally with experience in building a platform. If you're more business, it would be great if you've got EdTech connections or experience, and can help with the marketing/fundraising aspects.
I'm also looking for someone who is genuinely excited about helping people improve their data fluency. I envision this as a social impact startup.
